winter warmth
We, like the rest of the country, basked in the warm weekend sunshine Saturday, enjoying the breeze on our bare legs and pulling our Chacos out of hibernation for a fleeting day, before tossing them into the back of the closet again. Well, at least for me. Colorado man likes to wear his year round…without socks.
He also likes cutting Brighton’s hair these day. His latest creation is below – ah-la botched Jimmy Carey/monk boy. We’ll have to work on that styling some, hun. Although I couldn’t complain because I refused to attempt the daunting trim myself.
The warmth aided in our hopes of simply resting this weekend and recouperating from all the travels and chaos we’ve recently emerged from. We were able to just enjoy being a family, have a night out in the city to enjoy being a couple, and to enjoy our sweet community of friends here in Philly over lunch today.
We’re slowly starting to settle back in and find our temporary rhythm, before little minismith #2 arrives in a few weeks and makes us lean on Jesus all the more in the upheaval and readjusting to life we’ll be doing as a new foursome.
More thoughts on that to come this week. For now, Matthew and I are off to the den to end our evening over hot chocolate and Lady in The Water.
The frantic mom working on to-do lists for baby’s arrival. Her husband thinks this zeal for which she pursues her OCD list obsession is simply hilarious and deserving of a photograph. Or annoying. Depending on whether he has to be coerced into the various to-do’s or not. Today he obliged and did all the baby laundry…and hinted at setting up the new crib. One of these days.

Hey Amy,
What did you guys think of Lady in the Water? I found it to be quite possibly the worst movie I’d ever seen. ha. no offense if it’s tops on your list :)
