the latin hall

After over a month of being house mates again for the first time in 9 years, our reminiscent sister time has drawn to a close as we shared hugs, waved goodbye and shed tears at the Greenville airport this morning.

Brighton incessantly asked “Where Callie? Where Callie?” the entire ride home. We’re all going to be adjusting to the empty bedroom, empty car seat, and lack of helping arms in our home over the next few weeks.

I already terribly miss my sister and my friend who has walked with me through this crazy transitional time of moving. But I am so thankful for her that this adventure, she’s been eagerly waiting for, has now begun. Matthew set up a blog for her to use, so please check it out here at The Latin Hall and encourage her as she takes this next step.

I’m a mother of two minismiths (with the third having beat us all to heaven, lucky duck), wife to Matthew, crazy-loved daughter of the King, and fervent believer in the healing power of bluegrass music.

We are once again beginning the journey to meet our sweet little minismith #3. Let the adoption laboring pangs begin!

You can find my random daily musings on twitter.
