summer luxuries

Because I have no time to write in the midst of this housing saga we’re going through currently, I thought I’d at least share a few of my favorite things from this summer thus far. Don’t worry, I’ll explain more later. For now enjoy these:

  • Our favorite snack of late…even though she classifies it as a meal, we’re pigs. Meals need to be at least 3 “legal” portions sizes to fill our bellies.
  • Jenny’s collection. I’d buy each piece if I had the money.
  • My favorite summer tuneage. What can I say, I like Jennys.
  • Who would have guessed, my boys eating peas without a fight.
  • I can’t believe I succumbed. But man oh man, cleaning is so much more enjoyable. And nothing beats the entire house smelling of geraniums.
  • Enjoying morning walks to this park with coffee and kids in tow. I cannot emphasize how nice it is to be able to walk to parks daily again!
  • Love sitting on the front porch in the evenings, following my design feeds. Love Design Sponge. And LOVE this nursery she featured. No, there are no more kids planned on our horizon, but I love the new direction of kid’s rooms not looking so hyped up on color. We’re way into soft greys and yellows – and hoping to make that the base of our house – so this was a beautiful inspiration.

The babysitter just pulled up, so we’re off on a walk downtown to enjoy a much needed (as always) date night. More to come on the whole housing ordeal soon.

I am Amy Smith

Amy Smith and Family including Matthew, Brighton, and Levi

I’m a mother of two, wife to Matthew, daughter of the King, and fervent believer in the healing power of bluegrass music.

I now live in the great city of Greenville, SC, leaving behind Philadelphia, the city where Matthew and I fell in love and saw our two boys come in to the world.

Our recent move from north to south has begun the next chapter in the life of the Smith clan, possibly the most trying and difficult as of yet…learning to become true southerners.
