sister hiatus
Postings will be scarce this week since the Smith homestead has become Destination Spring Break for the Hall baby sister, Emily. Poor thing. While her friends are soaking up the rays in Flordia, Kiawah, and St. Johns, she is bestowed the honor of washing dishes, babysitting, and doning her winter coat as we walked through the city with snow swirling around us the night before Easter. What a happenin’ spring break for a high school junior.
But she swears she’s enjoying hanging out with her two little nephews and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I think she’s a pretty good liar. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her here though. And not just for the free babysitting. Brighton couldn’t be more pumped to have a new adoring fan to play hide n’ seek with, read books to and share bath time with. And Levi is always up for another pair of arms to cuddle him.
I have a host of pictures from the past few days to get up once Matthew returns home with our camera. For now, the munchkins are stirring from their afternoon naps and we’re off to brave the chilly outdoors for a walk through the woods.

OK! I’ll be patient about the pics..but you know
how I feel about them (or withOUT them in this
case). It even snowed a bit here Easter. Wish
you could have seen the 3 sheep in the front
yard grazing on dozens of bright colored eggs…
and the dog cart in the entry was filled with
green grass, more dozens of col. eggs & two
giant wooden white rabbits. Pretty festive.
Table in DR looked good too…with funny little
metal figures of Easterly characters….Had book
club Frid. and Charles & Julie came Fri. nite so
we got good mileage out of our decorations.
Know you are enjoying having Emily there. Have fun! Love to all Gran Manu’ere

hey chica,
just wanted to thank you again so much for calling me the other day. it really meant so much to have you follow up on me. i stink at showing my neediness, though it’s blatantly obvious :)
Hope you had a wonderful Easter. Got to visit my folks for the first time in NYC. LOVED it there. They are doing so well and it’s encouraging to realize again how good our Father is.
Love you and can’t wait to see you … NEXT WEEK?! How the heck? Looking forward to it. much love.
