our "thanksgiving"

We just returned from our “pre-thanksgiving” celebration with Matthew’s family in Colorado. But since the boys are peacefully snoozing and my computer has just returned to me from the Apple shop, I think I’ll be spending the evening catching up on an overflowing inbox of emails before crashing early myself instead of blogging.

Until you’re hit with our slew of Colorado pictures in the next post, enjoy this video Matthew put together of our time. And the following one of Levi cruising around. After reviewing our many Brighton-focused videos on vimeo, we felt Levi deserved one of his own. Enjoy…

I am Amy Smith

Amy Smith and Family including Matthew, Brighton, and Levi

I’m a mother of two minismiths (with the third having beat us all to heaven, lucky duck), wife to Matthew, crazy-loved daughter of the King, and fervent believer in the healing power of bluegrass music.

As healing and growth has blown the lid off 2009 for our family, we stand amazed at the overwhelming love of our Father and his sweaty diligence in sawing away the dead branches this year. It was messy, trust me.

2010 has continued to press us hard into Jesus as an unexpected pregnancy put a halt on our adoption plans, leaving us overjoyed with anticipation for minismith #3. Only to find out Jesus had called her back to Himself 9 weeks later.

We now stand with our hands open, asking Him to fill our aching hearts with Himself and lead us on through this season of healing.

You can find my random daily musings on twitter.
