open season
Our favorite orchard opened it’s gates this weekend and we wasted no time making our way up the winding roads out of Philly towards Bucks County to enjoy a Saturday in the fields.
We dragged along the Braud clan this time and had a blast climbing trees, fighting for ladders and blocking the boys from eating the rotten cherries off the ground. Afterwards we made our way up to Frenchtown to take a dip in the Delaware before driving back to our city dwellings with dozing, sun-kissed kiddos in tow.
“This way to the cherries, guys!”

The boys climbing the ladder. I think this was their favorite part…besides eating cherries.

Atticus babysitting Levi for awhile.
And Ellie will be our new babysitter for Brighton…sooo, now we’re pretty much covered and planning a weekend away without the kids, thanks guys!

Our house still bears the mark of post-trip clutter – suitcases half unpacked, half rummaged through, toiletries still in their travel case, laundry piling high – but we couldn’t let the weekend escape without some fresh air and energy released. Brighton slept in past 8am this morning, so we did our job of giving him a good wear-out session yesterday.
Today included more sun, trips to the park and general rest. Now on to Monday…

love the new stroller!! i can remember happy days in Buck’s county going to the flea market (that’s where Daddy got my ring!) and sitting along the river w/picnic lunches. So happy I can see the boys and you enjoying the same beautiful country 30 yrs later!!
love you each, mom

What a memorable day you had! Am partial to the name Atticus! (To Kill A Mockingbird) have never known anyone to have that name…great one. So glad you two are taking advantage of
