This was taken 364 days ago, right after this tiny peanut entered our world. Today, our not-so-little baby boy turns one.

Happy Birthday Brighton! We’re so thankful for the ways you’ve stretched us, changed us and pushed us closer to Christ through this wild past year. We love you so much!

The birthday boy decked out. Check out the previous post for pictures of his first bday celebration with my family.

Amy,
Hey! I stumbled upon your blog tonight as I was cruising on the web. It’s so great to see all that’s been going on in your life. You have such a beautiful baby! He is precious. And congrats on the little one who’s still inside. I just wanted to say hello. Feel free to email if you ever get the chance. :) I’m sure you must be busy. I’m finishing up my last year in med school and trying to figure out where we’re going to move next. It will definitely be an interesting year… So take care and I’ll bookmark you and hopefully talk to you later!

I’m a mother of two, wife to Matthew, daughter of the King, and fervent believer in the healing power of bluegrass music.

I now live in the great city of Greenville, SC, leaving behind Philadelphia, the city where Matthew and I fell in love and saw our two boys come in to the world.

Our recent move from north to south has begun the next chapter in the life of the Smith clan, possibly the most trying and difficult as of yet…learning to become true southerners.
