more of the first week
Mom and Dad returned safely to London and passed on a few more pictures to us of their time here. We’re missing them already and musing over just how grown-up our boys will be when they see their Mimi and GranTini again in 6 months. Levi will be a whole new kiddo by that point!
GranTini playing hide and seek with B. Brighton just kept saying “Hee-ya! Hee-ya!” when he’d come around the corner (his unfortunate new name for GranTini due to my dad’s game over Christmas of running up to B and making karate chop motions saying “Hee-ya”...now that’s how B refers to him, as “Hee-ya” or just “Ya”...guess that’s how real names happen though :)
Mimi humoring Brighton and letting him be the “baby” in his old swing for a few moments
Mom and Dad taking Brighton out for a much needed break at the park
Levi, finally, checking out the world. This shot reminded me of B in the same hat at the same age…
Here’s B at 1 week…. CRAZY how much they change!!
The wild man in his train pjs
And chillin with his little bro
Even though he was mad at me for having a baby, he still let me read to him every now and then :)
A favorite occasional “treat” for B – getting to strum my mandolin and play in the case
And just a cute shot from our day today. We’re halfway through our first week, and honestly, it’s going a lot better than I thought. B seems to enjoy returning to our somewhat normal routine and has actually been sweet with Levi today – stroking his head while we all three read books together, throwing away his diaper I’d just changed, and attempting to put back on his hat that had just fallen off. I love this shot of his crossed feet…something he always does whether reading to himself, watching his video or just playing with his toys. Where do we get these funny traits from?

coury’s favorite uncle, dave, developed a funny name by his grandchildren. they called him “you-you”. because everytime he’d come over to thier house he’d open the door and say “Yooooou-Whooooo!” So his name developed into “you-you.” He was called “you-you” by his grandkids the rest of his life.

If we are into grandparent names I’ll add a couple: a childhood friend called
her g’parents “Big Mamma” & “Potty”. I
never forgot those!I called mine “Daddley” & of course, the name
Laurel gave me when she was tiny….
Gran Manu’ere. As to crossed feet..
I’ll have toclaim the gene for that..
do it always, everywhere, can’t go to
sleep w/o crossing the feet. Loved the
comparison pics of the boys. In fact,
I just thoroughly enjoy every pic you
publish. Can hardly wait to get to the “pooter” every morning to see what
you’ve sent. Thanks! Glad to know
your week has been a bit better than
expected. Love you….G’Manu’ere
