lazy sunday

My dad joined the Cirque du Smith yesterday evening after the WHM conference he was attending drew to a close. We’ve spent the day today lounging around doing a whole lot of nothing. Matthew, B and I were able to head to church and spend some much needed time hanging out with our friends and just being taken in by our community. Levi hung out with his grandparents…or rather, slept the time away. A pastime he is much more fond of than Brighton was at this age.

Here are a few pictures of our time together.

The new Smith foursome

...and then he takes the plunge! The first shot of the two brothers together! With B’s cold we haven’t wanted to get them too close. But he initiated the head pat, so by all means, we let him go for it. It’s better than a matchbox car in the eye like he had attempted.

An awake Levi picture…not very common as of yet. But we are not complaining :)

More often, it’s one of these…

B is going to miss his Mimi and all her hugs when she leaves tomorrow :(

Then he’s stuck with us and the baby. He looks thrilled.

So-

How are you doing, now that your parents are gone? I prayed for you all this morning. You will make it, just will be day by day for a while:). I’m here for you, praying you onward. You and your beautiful family.

Love,
Maryanne

Just checking in—so happy to discover that baby #2 has arrived. He is precious! The Lord is so amazing.

I am Amy Smith

Amy Smith and Family including Matthew, Brighton, and Levi

I’m a mother of two, wife to Matthew, daughter of the King, and fervent believer in the healing power of bluegrass music.

I now live in the great city of Greenville, SC, leaving behind Philadelphia, the city where Matthew and I fell in love and saw our two boys come in to the world.

Our recent move from north to south has begun the next chapter in the life of the Smith clan, possibly the most trying and difficult as of yet…learning to become true southerners.
