jail break
Thanks to some sunshine and temps that weren’t subzero, Brighton finally escaped the confines of our tiny home and was able to run until his heart’s content today at not just one, but two different parks. We headed home after the first, but decided it was too beautiful to spend the remaining hours of the day indoors and instead headed back out for our local neighborhood park as well. Levi enjoyed snoozing away the gorgeous day in his cozy sling.
We had a great visit with Matthew’s parents this weekend and were thoroughly spoiled with mexican take-out, flowers, sushi, a free night of babysitting AND a fully-paid for night out for just Matthew and myself. It was our first date night out alone since the night before Levi was born. Of course we hit up our favorite spot in the city – Bridgids – for belgians on tap, scallop risotto and some deadly chocolate cake.
If only we could find more babysitters who’d watch the boys for free AND pay for our dinner out. Hmm, where are they hiding?
Some shots of the jailbird enjoying his new found freedom…
Mmm, is that some leftover juicebox I taste?

Um, is this the slide? I thought it was supposed to be a little more exciting that this…oh wait, it’s over there
