Actually, we’d probably rank more along the lines of a motel with the lame couch we have to offer as a bed and the mouse issue we can’t seem to get rid of. But at least we don’t have cockroaches.

Guest #2 of the month has descended upon our home, paying for her stay by washing numerous dishes, carrying around Levi and thoroughly entertaining Brighton. Rachel is one of my closest friends from college and will be moving here in the fall (HURRAY!!!) to attend the WTS counseling program. I can’t wait to have a old best friend within my grasp again. Matthew said we were acting like drunk high school girls last night and kept remarking that he hadn’t seen me laugh that hard in a long while. I would have to agree. There’s a unique comfort found in the laughter and stories of an old friend who knew you in your pre-marriage/pre-mommy days.

This will be short since the weather is stunning and we’re all aching to get outdoors. Here are a few shots of the two adorable munchkins who are changing faster than I can seem to document it.

Tag! He’s mine!

Brighton is talking up a storm, now putting words together enabling communication on a whole different level. Today he was able to explore his latest obsession – a fire truck – that was parked outside Trader Joes. He ran around yelling “Fire truck! Fire fighter! Weee-ooo-weee-ooo” making fire engine sounds to the amusement of the bored volunteer firemen. And Levi is offering us huge grins and kitten-like coos that catch us offguard, making us melt even in our cranky, sleep-deprived state.

The tan little chunk…love the double chin he gets when he leans up. He definitely got Matthew’s bronzen Colorado skin.

Levi thinking “ Dude, what’s the deal with the pacifiers? Give it a break already!
