happy father's day
To a wonderful father…
A tender granddad (or rather “Hi-Ya”, as the boys refer to him)...
And an incredible friend and support to this motley crew…
We would not be the people we are without your influence, love and Homer-jokes, Dad. We really love you.
And to Brighton & Levi’s dad…since they can’t post quite yet…you’re pretty freaking amazing too. But that’s another post for another day. Thank you for loving our boys with such gentleness and strength. Depending on what they need at any given moment :) It’s been incredible to see you move into fatherhood over the past three years. With your fumbling inadequacies partnered with overwhelming love for our two little bambinos. I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else.
- As a side note: Once our heads come above water in this chaotic swirl of life we’re swimming in right now, you will hear from minismith once again, I promise. But for now, we need to focus on not gulping down too much water.

There’s something so beautiful about recognizing and embracing our fumbling inadequacies. I love the family picture… Happy Father’s day.
