Grace in Small Things: yet another catch-up
Guess this is just how it’s gonna be. Catching up most of the year. While I’ve got a lot to be thankful for each day, those are the very things that keep me from my computer and writing constantly. Which is probably a good thing.
So we’re now into March and day 62 of the year. I don’t know how many things I should be catching up on, but here are just a few from today…
1. Getting over a feverish, achy virus thing just in time to celebrate a good friend’s birthday with the gals tonight. Nothing like getting all dolled up to feel like a normal girl again.
2. Getting to hug and kiss the heads of my sweet boys again after being quarantined from them for 24 hours.
3. Picking some of my snowy daffodils and realizing they’re tougher than I thought after seeing them disappear in the wet, heavy snow two nights ago.
4. An early birthday present from Mom & Dad, the most amazing jeans ever. No seriously, EVER. If you have a scrawny rear, you would understand why. Matthew about keeled over from the blasphemy that came out of my mouth when I told him I think I just might love them more than my iphone. Then he saw my rear in the jeans and he agreed…probably only because I had the iphone in my back pocket though.
5. Four more days and counting until I pack my bags and head out to Kansas City to visit my sister and mom for a full FOUR DAYS of just-me time. Well, just-me with sister & mom, but they don’t count seeing as they’re above the age of 4 and don’t need to me cut up their hot dogs into tiny pieces, they don’t wear diapers, and they aren’t in the habit of breaking out into shrieking tantrums in public. I will miss my men, but I will so love this little break right now.
Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in 365 days of Grace in Small Things
