Grace in Small Things: Part 5-20 of 365
To get myself caught up with the year…here is a list 15 “grace in small things”. So I can start fresh tomorrow with Part 21 of 365.
1. Watching the inauguration of the new “presentfriend” (as Brighton referred him) with the boys.
2. Bribing boys with suckers to stand by tv during the speech, for a shot with the president.
3. Actually getting teary-eye during the music, aching for when the real Savior comes back.
4. Having little boys who make me feel special. Example: Brighton’s remarks about my braids this morning, “Oh Mama, how did you do your beautiful hair!” Even if no one else thinks so, they think I’m the most wonderful woman on earth…at least for now. Must remember to savor that.
5. Watching my men have fun together…
6. Being silly for the boys & making them giggle at my foolishness, by scaling fences to “borrow” a big ball from the daycare for the boys to enjoy during our time at the park.
7. Watching Matthew enjoy said ball more than boys.
8. iFishing app on iphone, that is the ONLY thing that will transform B from his whiny self into his quiet self on a rough morning
9. Washable crayola markers for my artist, Levi, who decided to color his face this morning while I was loading breakfast dishes
10. And the fact that those markers are non-toxic & will not kill him after he decided to colored his teeth blue
11. Watching Levi quickly sneak over to Brighton’s abandoned bowl and finish off his cereal and milk…and THEN finish consuming his own.
12. A grande dark roast at 2pm to make doing small business taxes much more bearable
13. Having my hot husband as my hot boss
14. Attempting to learn The Whoorl Curl for an upcoming shwanky wedding…still not quite there yet...
15. The smell of thai salmon boiling to perfection in the oven
There. Whew. That should make up for early January lack of posts.
Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in 365 days of Grace in Small Things
