Grace in Small Things: Catch-up to 45 of 365
So we last left off at #27 of 365. That leaves me with a whopping 18 things to catch up on.
Since everyone likes pictures better than words anyhow, let’s say I’ll sub in 11 pictures and leave the last 7 for sharing moments of grace so far this month.
1. Our new two-year old, Levi (as of February 4th). His vivaciousness for life provides constant entertainment for his parents and brother.
2. Birthday parties. This is actually why I had kids, despite what some may think. Just so I’d have more excuses to make decorations and themed pancakes.
3. A full week of warmth and sunshine to explore the creeks, parks, and zoo with the boys again.
4. The makings of Matthew’s treehouse that will provide MUCH enjoyment (not just for the kids) this spring/summer.
5. A Valentine’s Day breakfast of pink everything. My poor boys. They are going to conspire with Matthew to adopt me a girl when they get old enough. Pink milk, pink pancakes, pink straws…
6. The Valentines Day gift of a morning break, and coming home to a clean house and napping children.
7. And lastly, my favorite part of the day, by far, preparing the oh-so-tantalizing (DROOL!) cannelloni for our festivities this evening. A feat I rarely attempt for the insane amount of prep time, but SO worth it for a night of hosting good friends for some celebrating!
The table…
The sauce…(homemade kicks some serious rear in the marinara department, I couldn’t stop myself from stealing spoonfuls as it cooked)
The massive pot production….for noodles, marinara, bescamella, spinach filling, beef filling….
Noodles hangin’ out…
Assembly…(Oh my gosh, my stomach is GROWLING. Would anyone really notice if there was one less pan to serve tonight? I’m thinking afternoon snack right about now.)
You too would become an cannelloni addict dreaming of bescamella drenched noodles dancing in your head if you tried this. Don’t believe me? Email me and I’ll pass on the recipe. Then we’ll see.
Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in 365 days of Grace in Small Things

so you finally admit that the only reason you have children is to have numerous opportunities to indulge in your crazy party-making habits!! hahah. perfect. love the pink milk ;c)

Hi Amy, You don’t know who I am but I think we have a lot of mutual friends. I grew up in Greenville(Mitchell Rd. Pres) and then lived in Charlottesville(while your dad was still there). Now I live in San Diego with my husband who is in the Navy. I also went to Ireland with WHM summer of 02. I am friends with Natalie Whitesell, Ashley Hall, Heather Davis Nelson and I am sure we have other mutual friends. I was reading your blog about the Cannelloni and it looked so good I had to ask you for the recipe. Would you mind sending it to me if you get a chance?
