Grace in Small Things: 27 of 365

1. My Krystal Wedges that I scoured my closet and sold unused goods on ebay in order to afford. They are the most funky/fun and comfortable shoes I own, which was actually a big surprise. Sorry, chucks.

2. Coffee with my “boss” (ahem, Matthew) before finishing up the dreaded business taxes at work.

3. Having my own personal stylist. Who brought me these this morning, declaring “you HAVE to wear your shiny shoes, Mom!” But only until we stepped outside in the frigid wind. Promptly traded them in for #1 above.

4. Dance class and drinks with a good friend tonight.

5. Watching B enjoy his own little world in the backyard from our kitchen window. Shaking his head and laughing into the wind. Oh, and his comment about the freckles on my arms when I told him they weren’t boo-boo’s but “special spots”. “Just like a jaguar, Mom! You have special spots like she does!”.

(The boys could easily fill up my “Grace in Small Things” list each day…just as easily as they could fill up my “most miserable moments” each day as well. You know, that awesome bi-polar-ness of motherhood.)
