gods

All you parents out there, instead of reading a lengthy minismith blog today, I highly encourage you to read this article from CCEF on our relationship with our children, and how much we need Jesus in this day to day relating between two sinners. One young, One old – both desperately needy of grace and a Savior.

I’m continually struck by how much I want to be my children’s savior and god. And how that seeps in to practically every way I related to them throughout the day. I am thankful today that I’m not left to figure out this mothering thing alone. That Christ has got it licked and I can safely assume the role of “mother-in-training”, asking for wisdom often, repenting often, and enjoying the process of not always getting it right the first time.

Before I go, I also have to send out a VERY, MERRY BIRTHDAY WISH to sister Callie, who has been our gracious house guest for the past month and who leaves for Honduras in just a few days. We love you Callie! Happy Birthday!
