eagle vs shark

We just watched a great movie this evening – Eagle vs. Shark – with the guy from Flight of the Conchords. I did not love it just because the main girl’s favorite animal was the great white shark (I promise, family). If you’re in to indi films, it’s a beautiful story of extremely awkward people finding love, grace and redemption.

I often find so much more truth and humanity in indi films than I ever do in the glossy hollywood ones. There is something about the raw production and the un-hollywoodized actors/actresses that allows the bizarre reality of life to seep out. But then again, Matthew and I have always been a little off the beaten path when it comes to life and film, in particular.

Speaking of Flight of the Conchords, Matthew and I youtube these guys often when we need a laugh and need the stress of life to disappear for awhile. Disclaimer: these guys are by no means wholesome, clean or Christianly…if you are easily offended, please stop here.

The first is for your married folk…you’ll know why…

This one just cracks me up…but then again, I am weird, so I feel somewhat akin to these fellows…

Yes, I know, a lame post after not being around for a few days – no pictures of children, no humorous motherhood stories, no updates on the exciting life of the Smith family – but it’s 10:30pm and that’s all I’ve got for tonight. Over and out…

Amy, Matt and I have been youtubing these guys quite a bit over the last few weeks and these two songs are definitely our favorites too. We have also started watching the HBO show…pretty funny stuff!

These guys are so funny. Geoff and I spent the better part of one evening watching many of the clips on youtube.
