computerless

My computer died last week. Well, at least the power connector did. And therefore the entire computer has been forced to take up residence at the nearby computer store, awaiting a new part and hopefully a speedy repair. But not speedy enough to join us on our trip out west.

Therefore emails and minismith posts are hereby officially on hold until our return next Sunday. We’ll be sure to document our adventure back to Matthew’s homeland of Fort Collins, CO for you all to feast your eyes upon. I fondly remember Colorado in the fall as being one of the most beautiful places I ever had the chance to live in.

Until next Sunday…hope you all have a wonderful pre-Thanksgiving week!

hey amy – congrats on getting a break from your computer… at first it feels a little weird… you might feel disoriented… bewildered… or like you left your toiletries in the hotel bathroom. but don’t worry, the sun won’t blacken… you’ll carry on with life and travels and before you know it, you’ll experience a new sense of freedom that only a broken power supply could supply.

I am Amy Smith

Amy Smith and Family including Matthew, Brighton, and Levi

I’m a mother of two minismiths (with the third having beat us all to heaven, lucky duck), wife to Matthew, crazy-loved daughter of the King, and fervent believer in the healing power of bluegrass music.

As healing and growth has blown the lid off 2009 for our family, we stand amazed at the overwhelming love of our Father and his sweaty diligence in sawing away the dead branches this year. It was messy, trust me.

2010 has continued to press us hard into Jesus as an unexpected pregnancy put a halt on our adoption plans, leaving us overjoyed with anticipation for minismith #3. Only to find out Jesus had called her back to Himself 9 weeks later.

We now stand with our hands open, asking Him to fill our aching hearts with Himself and lead us on through this season of healing.

You can find my random daily musings on twitter.
