brush strokes

No my brain did not turn to mush after my fabulous girl’s weekend away, leaving me spacey, starry-eyed and unable to formulate a coherent sentence for a blog entry. Rather, change is in the air. The winds are stirring. Leaving much on my tangible reality plate to deal with and little time for cyber world musings.

Let me just briefly state that last weekend was glorious. More stories are to come of the beauty of that 48 hours away from my current status in life as wife and mom. But for now, there are dishes to clean, details to tend to and children that need a few more hugs and stories read to them after a hard morning.

I promise the next post won’t be so coy and mysterious. We’ll share the story Christ is continuing to paint in our lives. Never fear, Greenville friends, this does not involve a relocation of the Smith family to a new town. One out of state move is all we can handle in a year!

Matthew’s idea of playtime for the boys while I was gone…

Although that’s not as bad as a few days ago when Brighton was playing “tea” with our neti pot with the toilet water…which he was drinking as I entered the bathroom.

Ah-h-h, sighs of contentment fostered by new
pics of my fav. great grandsons! Thank you!
We were starving for them! Have wondered
how M. fared while you were away. Not fair,
Amy, to alude to change and give not one
single hint! Mean girl! But we forgive easily.
More pics, please! OK! I give up. What’s a neti pot?Gran Manue’re & G’dad too.

I am Amy Smith

Amy Smith and Family including Matthew, Brighton, and Levi

I’m a mother of two, wife to Matthew, daughter of the King, and fervent believer in the healing power of bluegrass music.

I now live in the great city of Greenville, SC, leaving behind Philadelphia, the city where Matthew and I fell in love and saw our two boys come in to the world.

Our recent move from north to south has begun the next chapter in the life of the Smith clan, possibly the most trying and difficult as of yet…learning to become true southerners.
