brighton's hopes

Even if he doesn’t know it quite yet. If he were six years old, he’d probably be up to the same thing as this kid. Every little guy wants a brother that badly, right?

I know I just posted, but Matthew shared this with me tonight and it made me laugh, so I had to pass it on. Especially as Baby Boy Smith’s arrival is sneaking up on us. Even with all my fears and worries about what life with two under 2 is going to be like, it’s nice knowing that B has a little bro on the way…who will hopefully share his passion for throwing balls and partnering in crime.

Here’s to minismith #2…even as you’re mercilessly pounding away at my ribs…we can’t wait to meet you, the newest little man in our family.

Our good friends and neighbors across the street just had their second bambino, who looks eerily similar to Brighton as a newborn, with the same full head of feathery dark hair and even weighing in at 8lbs 1oz like B did. Both Matthew and I became more anxious to meet our new son after holding that tiny, 2-day-old bundle. Making us wonder what he’ll look like, what his personality will be like and (cross-our-fingers) if he’ll be a better sleeper than Brighton was :)

If these last few weeks are anything like last time, the days are going to fly and he’s going to be here before we know it to find all that out. Ready or not!

made me cry….:)
so happy that we’ll be together in just 3 and 1/2 weeks. God is such a kind Father and a great Giver. Can’t believe we get to be with you all to meet baby so soon!!!!
makes me wistful to watch this and remember the many days of “plays, dress up, office, school”, etc. You and your sisters were hilarious! Does anyone out there have memories of playing office complete w/receipt books, (remember those?), stamp pads and staple removers???
hugs,
m
