another hiatus

We bid farewell to my folks earlier this week as they headed back to London after spoiling us with their companionship for the entire month of August, hence the scattered and infrequent blogs.

That and the fact that Matthew had enough of my whining over the issues of my four year old ibook and ended up bartering for me to get a new MACBOOK! Which has consumed all waking hours with transferring the millions of pictures, songs, files. Figuring out new applications (argh, did I mention how much I HATE relearning). One in particular that is currently holding all my pictures captive until I can figure out how to resize and transfer them to minismith. I’m also spending countless hours acquainting myself with the new features and spending my mornings doing very important things such as:

We sent this to Matthew at work yesterday, which he promptly reformatted and stuck on the blog. Thank you, dear. A picture for all the world to see what a crazy mother I really am.

Such a good mother in fact that I let my terrified 18 month old hover in fear in the background wondering what was happening to his mom & brother.

Off with one set of grandparents, in with the new. Matthew’s folks arrive from Colorado this evening. So we’ll see how much blogging gets done this week in between visiting with them, continuing to learn the new computer and countless hours spent doing this…
