absence

So much for my macho bravado. We actually really do miss Matthew around the house. As nice as it is to have my domain back, I miss hearing him laugh out loud at random emails and cheer himself on as he tackles a design. I’m a tiny bit sad that I don’t get to experience that part of him and have to instead share that Matthew with his new office mates.

I guess that’s the way it goes for most, but it’s a transition I’ll have to get used to again.

Today we went downtown to meet up for lunch at our favorite grab-a-slice, Barleys. Guess these one hour snippets are what we’ve got for now.

Levi enjoyed stacking raisins…

Matthew and I enjoyed a couple slices of sun-dried tomato pizza…

Brighton enjoyed his PBJ...

...and goofing around, like always…

Levi just wants some birthday cake. “Pleeease, Mom?”

You all are so cute — AC, with your super creative sandwich . . . AC, how you look so chic as a mom of 2 . . . and that you all can meet for lunch in town. Miss you guys! Happy for your Matthew — for your cool art studio. I can’t wait to see pics of the finished product!
